Emergency Notification System Cellular Telephone Interface

How the process works

  • You will be asked to enter your name, the cellular telephone number that you want to register, and your cellular carrier. If your carrier is not listed or if your cellular telephone does not receive text messages, you should select ‘Other/No text’ in the Wireless Carrier box.
  • You will then request a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that is used to identify you on the system. The PIN will be sent as a text message to the cellular telephone you are registering. Text messaging charges may apply. If you selected ‘Other/No text’ in the Wireless Carrier box, a CAPCOG staff member will call your cellular telephone and relay your PIN.
  • When you receive the PIN, you can use the PIN and cellular telephone number to sign in to the application. Please make a note of your PIN– it will allow you to sign in to the system to change your information.
  • After signing in, you will have the option to register your telephone to a particular location, add additional locations, delete a location or delete all your locations from the system. You can add additional locations to your cell phone if you want to be notified about incidents near your place or work or the homes of family members.
  • Please allow one month for this registration to take effect.
